Terms of sale and licence

These terms cover buying Pinlo and Pinlo Plus, and using them. We’ve kept them short and plain. By buying or using Pinlo, you agree to them.

Who we are

Pinlo is made and sold by [Seller legal name], a sole proprietor based in Pakistan (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@pinlonotes.com.

Who handles your order

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries about payment and handles returns. When you buy, you also agree to Paddle’s buyer terms.

What you buy

• Pinlo is a one-time purchase of a licence to use the Pinlo desktop app.
• Pinlo Plus is a one-time purchase that adds AI features and every paid-app add-on we release, now and later.
• The upgrade from Pinlo to Pinlo Plus is a one-time purchase.
• There’s no subscription. You pay once, and you get the updates for the version you bought, for as long as we make them.
• Prices are shown at checkout, with any sales tax included. If our prices change later, what you already bought doesn’t change.

Your licence

When you buy, you get a licence key. The licence lets you, one person, install and use Pinlo on the computers you use, on any desktop operating system Pinlo supports. The app checks the key on your own computer, offline.

You may not:

• share, sell or publish your licence key, or let others use it;
• copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms;
• use Pinlo to break the law or anyone’s rights.

The app is licensed to you, not sold. We keep ownership of the app and the Pinlo name.

The free parts

The browser demo and the browser extension are free. You may use them as they are, under these same rules, apart from the payment terms.

Your notes

Your notes are yours. They’re stored on your own computer (or in your browser, for the extension), not on our servers. You can export them at any time, in every version. Please keep your own backups: we can’t recover notes we never hold.

AI features (Pinlo Plus)

AI features connect to the AI you choose, such as Claude through MCP, a provider using your own API key, or a model on your own computer. Your notes go only to the AI you pick, and only when you use an AI feature. That provider’s own terms apply to what you send it. API keys are stored in your Windows Credential Manager.

Refunds

You can get a full refund within 30 days of buying, without giving a reason. See the refund policy.

No warranty

We work hard to make Pinlo reliable, but it’s provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we don’t promise that it will be free of errors or work without interruption, or suit every purpose.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data. Our total liability for any claim about Pinlo is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law in your country gives you and that can’t be excluded.

Ending the licence

If you break these terms, your licence ends, and you must stop using the app. You can stop using Pinlo at any time.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Changes don’t take away anything you already bought.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without overriding consumer protections you have where you live.
